Khan Academy: Calculus 1 App Reviews

These videos (in all of the Calculus apps) are the reason I am going to take the ap test. I cant thank you enough for making these free and explaining so thoroughly.

Ive only watched one of the videos but I absolutely love the fact that I dont need Internet or service to watch the videos. I can easily watch them on the train ride to work/school.

While it does do a good job of teching the basics of calculus, if you take the class youd realize there is a lot more to it than what he goes over. If you cant take calc, or are really struggling this will help, but if you just wanted some support for what you learn its not enough

It was working fine but its not working on new iOS 7. Only audio comes out. Help!!!!

Please fix this. I upgraded to iOS 7 now the videos doesnt want to open up. Please fix this. My teacher isnt teaching us! :(

I love your apps I have 6 or 7 of them downloaded but the video wont play any more b/c I updated please update so I dont fail calculus

I cant see the videos at all. All I hear is speaking. I have an Iphone 5

I cant rate the app because I cant even use it! No video and I get little pieces of audio! I love Khans videos, and know theyre great, but I really love the organization of the apps. Please fix the video and audio problems.

No action after title screen. Shows me video choices but clicking does nothing. Please fix. Seems like a good app if it would work.

The problem with the video was fixed. Unfortunately The sound no longer works.

Not so helpful without the sound

This app has not been prepared well for use on an iPhone. I have tried several different videos in both the Calc 1 and 2 apps; neither have had any sound. This is particularly frustrating in videos where the writing is too small and pixilated to read on an iPhone screen. I know Khan Academy has some good content, as I have viewed tutorials on my computer, but this App is terribly lacking.

In the title, i tried restarting my phone, deleting the app and downloading it again, not entirely sure whats going on but its quite a big bug and makes the videos impossible to follow without it

I have no sound issue. Use headphones if your device is in silent mode. In section 5 limit examples 4, the first problem you got 1/2 as the answer when its actually 3/16. You added instead of multiplying the denominator terms.

This is all they have for Calculus? I am only 3 weeks into the school year and we are already past all of this material! Some of this we learned at the end of pre-Calc, the rest is just the most basic calculus. Really, this app didnt help at all...

Thank you for the free content. I have all 7 KA Calc tutorials on my phone. Useful for looking up more descriptions on the same content. Unfortunately, sound only works with headphones. Not sure why... Interesting bug. Doesnt play sound through Bluetooth as well. Hope you get time to fix.

Unprepared, unrehearsed, unscripted, and even incorrect, this is a shameful statement on the academy. I am completely new to the calculus, but I know enough of the prerequisites to know that (2^2+4)(2+2) does not equal 8+4, as the "instructor" asserts in lesson 5 as he moves on without correcting his mistake, giving the wrong answer to the example limit, frustrating anyone who attempt to actually work out the problems before watching his solutions. Enough, for me.
